In 2014, Joshua became the Lead Pastor. He and his wife, Keesha, have a passion to see God continue to build His church and bring life changing experiences to every family through the empowering of God’s Spirit and following Biblical principles. Pastor Josh’s vision for House of Prayer is to connect all people to Jesus and to each other. He believes God has called us to build a church in and around the city of Thibodaux that will affect the entire state of Louisiana and eventually the world.

Next Step

God has an incredible plan and purpose for your life; Next Step is designed to help you connect to that purpose. It is a series of four classes designed to help you connect to Jesus, connect to the body of Christ (the church), and connect to your purpose. At our Thibodaux Campus, our Next Step Classes meet on Sundays @ 11:00 am, with the exception of June & December. Childcare is provided during each class.Each class builds upon the previous class. House of Prayer Next Step guides you to discover your redemptive purpose and live the life God created for you. It is the goal of House of Prayer Church to equip you to follow Jesus, connect to the church, discover your purpose, and serve others.

Community Groups (C-Groups) have one simple purpose - to bring people together, connecting them with Jesus and each other. We were not created to “do” life alone. God created us for community, and C-groups provide a gathering place to connect with others, share life, and grow in faith together. We believe life changes happen in the context of relationships.

At House of Prayer, we believe in baptism in Jesus' Name as a powerful step of faith and obedience to God’s Word (Acts 2:38). Baptism is a public declaration of your commitment to follow Jesus, and we would love to celebrate this life-changing moment with you!

Baby Dedications
House of Prayer believes children are a gift from God, and we provide an opportunity for parents to publicly express their desire to partner with God to lead and spiritually nurture their children to love God and love others. We refer to this ceremony as a baby dedication.

Our purpose is to connect Jr. High and High School students with Jesus and other teens to help them grow in their faith.

POLR’s purpose is to connect brokenhearted, addicted, and struggling people to Jesus and each other for healing, deliverance, and life restoration.

Chosen Colonels is a Young Adult Ministry based on the NSU campus and is for college students or young adults 18-25 years of age.
Being a member of Chosen Colonels does not require you to be a Nicholl’s Student.
